Hi Guys

Would love some feedback and constructive criticism on my new supplement store. So the layout, navigation, design and content I have been running for around 4 months but notice the bounce rate is quite high. I am thinking it may be due to too much product and not enough guidance for the novice? What do you guys think...thanks!

its here

cheers!

It's actually a well done site. You are on the right track.

    A little constructive criticism:

    * What is the slogan for? "Knowledge, Guidance, Results"? What does that mean and what does it have to do with your business? Nobody looking at that logo has any idea what your company does. It would be more effective if it was something like "#1 in Sports Supplements" or "Sports Nutrition for Athletes"

    * Images load very slow. Consider using a CDN. We use one on our Magento site and it makes a MAJOR performance difference.

    * Think about getting rid of the image slider on the front page. Research show they hurt conversions.

    * The long text block on the middle of the front page is awkward and long. That is prime real estate and could be put to better use.

    * Focus on gaining/boosting credibility. Your FB page has only 200 likes which makes you look brand new. Get more reviews / likes / testimonials which will help conversions.

But its a nice job so far.

when I went to the site the first thing that got my attention was the body builder images and then I read "Knowledge, Guidance, Results"

That actually said to me that this site will educate me on body building, guide me how to build my body and give me results.

If however the logo was used elsewhere without the images then I agree it will not have this effect

Yes that's what we were hoping to get across. And hopefully will become more apparent when we start building the brand. We wanted to offer advice and guidance to our customers...so hopefully this will come across more as we grow

      Agreed

      Footer Height is too much
      lol

You want conversions? Here is what I would do

      1. Change 'Knowledge, Guidance, Results to something that tells the user what your site is actually about. Be specific.

      2. Only have one type of slider. Believe it or not it's actually quite distracting. Your big slider and the one underneath it with all the brands.

      3. Work on your functionality and remove any whitespace. Makes you look Amateur.

      4. Make your telephone number much more apparent and bigger.

      5. Highlight FREE DELIVERY by changing the text color from BLUE to RED OR YELLOW or something. Test both.

      6. Try the following and see if it improves your situation or not.

      7. Google Analytics should be your friend. What page have the highest bounce rate? VERY IMPORTANT

Try implementing the following and see if things get better.

To decrease bounce rate, "added value" around your current products such as tutorials, recipes, guides, videos etc will help a lot.

The loading speed is too slow, especially the banner on the homepage. In fact, if I not come here for review, but for shopping, I must have left your site. It's my real thought. Since it's a new site, first impression is important. When visitors have not built enough deep relationship with you, they don't have much patience to wait the loading.

There are a lot of third-party modules for Magento. I would recommend you to find something like Shop by Brands module because the Shop by Brands drop-down in the menu on your website is too long and not very usable.

Also, I would recommend you always send your customers after-purchase email with the kind request to leave a review about the product purchased. The more reviews you have the better for you. You can search for ready-to-use module that will send review requests automatically. The best version is a review form included in an email so that your customers could submit a review directly from an e-mail.

    Kind regards!

Very tight Magento store gentlemen! The layout is great, plenty of product. Nice social media integration. Site speed is snappy enough. Good job and all the best!

A really valid point, I didn't know there were plugins to help with the drop down. That's really helpful thanks

Not sure if you need to worry about this, but if I look at the site in IE9 I get a Javascript error that pops up.

Well laid out site and plenty of products which can be bewildering, which to choose? Any reviews of which are the best ones? On first glance what may put people off is the prices!

Your site's lay out is very good and it's product page description is also very descriptive for all users. Your site was not responsive and also not compatible with all browsers. It is my point of review.

    Hi

Just a quickie as I'm popping out.

But your main banner graphic took ages to load and I would have clicked away before it finished.

Website speed test looks like some images could be compressed to speed up load time.

Also the design didn't adjust for my screen. I had 4 products across and the fifth dropped onto a new line.

The site looks good, but I think it needs some call to action. I see a lot of products...

If the main focus is Fat Burning, Work Out, Weight Gain, Protein Powders - How can you sum that up in the top half of the page as soon as it loads? What's in it for me?

What about having 5 clear blocks at the top of the page with those headings and one clear benefit for each, encouraging the visitor to click through more more.

Your site design is very eye catching and attractive.
    Footer height is too much.
Your site is not responsive because non of device supported your site's design layout.
Your site is not also all browser compatible.
From that you may lost many users because of responsiveness and cross browser compatibility.
