Good ecommerce store to work with stripe

I have recently setup a html webstore that uses paypal shopping cart, however noticing that paypal shopping cart is not that great, especially since I need to capture two addresses (one for the delivered goods and the other is the address of the payer). Seriously thinking about switching to stripe.com payments as I've heard and read good things about it.

What I'm wondering is, I have no idea how to best do this. Right now the site is only written in html so there is no database to store things like the shipping address..etc. What is the best way to proceed to get this to work with stripe? can I keep as html or do I need to use a shopping cart solution (such as opencart)? and can stripe handle things such as shipping addresses.

If you're based in the US I would recommend setting up a Shopify store and using Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe).

Thanks, Folks.

I was looking for something where I do the hosting myself since I am already hosting the site right now and using paypal. I just want to switch to stripe payment processing. does anyone know if opencart or prestashop would work for this, and do they support stripe

Just as an FYI, yes Opencart and Prestashop support it with third party plugins. But, after reading this, since it sounds like you want to keep using the HTML site you had build, look at something like Cart 66 or Americart that will let you embed those checkout widgets on your website.

  The best route is to go to Stripe's website and see who they tell you they integrate with. Self hosted they work with Opencart, Magento and I think Prestashop, you just may need to buy a module to make it work but that is a one time purchase.

Shopify is a good recommendation especially if your testing the marketing and uncertain as to potential sales you'll be making a month.

If you expecting a to generate decent sales and your familiar with Wordpress I'd go with Woocommerce. Make sure you get a template that is designed to convert, usability is everything and it needs to be work on Desktop, tablet and mobile.

My prestashop works with stripe but you will need a SSL certificate, $70/year i think.
