Amount of traffic and expectations

Hello, I don't get very much traffic but I'm working towards improving that. I get about 20 visits a day to my store. I think that's too low of an amount to start worry about conversion rates, right?

What is a good amount of traffic I should be getting daily (or weekly/monthly) before I start focusing on maintaining a 1% conversion rate.

    It depends on what your selling and supply/demand. You'll need a lot of traffic so I agree that measuring conversions at such an early stage might be a waste of time. Your focus right now should be 100% toward obtaining traffic. You'll need hundreds to thousands a day to convert.

    It's going to be based on your niche and keywords.

    If you rank for buying keywords 50 to 100+ daily visitors should do fine.

    For broad but related keywords you should aim for 300 to 500 daily visitors.

    Conversion rate is also going to depends on your site layout and organization.

    Wow, thanks. My niche is personalized and unique gifts. It seems kinda saturated as those products can be found anywhere. I need to work on my keywords. I'm using keywords such as "unique gifts for babies." Actually I really don't know what I'm doing at this point.
