Hey,

Can anyone recommend a site on par with Shopify in terms of pricing, ease to use, search engine optimization and design?

I was really liking Shopify but I am a littleturned off that they can not even use an SSL badge to show the site is secure. I also wonder if any sites may haveb etter check out options for drop shipping with shopping carts. I am also looking to getting a design that is a little more catchy, I likeit's current one but feel it could use a little more something to real people into the site more, I guess it feels a little empty maybe even if it's nice.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Shopify is probably the easiest to use when it comes to look and feel and unique themes. BigCommerce is probably the easiest after Shopify and has a few new themes that are more modern but won't give you the control you get from Shopify.

3DCart is coming out with some responsive themes but I am unsure if they are available yet but it is also a strong dropshipping cart that allows for multiple warehouses.

You might check out corecommerce as well. Unfortunately to get as much control as you really want you may need to go opensource but check out those others.

Thanks. I think I might stick with Shopify for now and try to find a way to get a secure badge on the site. It seems like it should really be a standard thing, it's odd that they don't give the ability to put up a SSL badge from domain hosting websites.

I'm gonna try to get some custom design as well, I think my site might be a little empty so maybe people don't feel secure buying from it as much as if it looked a little more detailed and filled with information.

The site has only been up for three days but with two days of google adwords at 45.00 a day it didn't get any sales. I know it can take a while for some sites to make their first sales but I think with a little more design work it can make a big difference.

Have a look at woocommerce. You can try both shoptify and woocommerce to test out which one looks easier.

Shopify does have a feature that can turn on SSL for you. Just check their faqs. I know this for a fact. They also offer a badge as well by GeoTrust.

I've used Cs-cart since 2005, then went to Woocommerce a couple years ago. I liked it, but it is heavily loaded down due to it basically being a huge WP plugin that attaches to your WP site.

AmeriCommerce.com is PCI compliant. They are similar to Shopify, in that the solution is hosted, and there are a ton of features, etc. They also have a brand new user friendly admin and support running Multiple Stores on one account. Just like Shopify and Bigcommerce, AmeriCommerce offers a 2 week trial (no cc required)

Check out Circulon.com , Headphones.com to see how some of their customized websites look and feel.
