    For wordpress I have only used woocommerce which I have found to be fantastic. Not too sure about wp-commerce but here is an article that compares them against each other.

    I;d suggest you to use WooCommerce. This platform allows to make the store without efforts and tech skills. It is more powerful then WP e-Commerce and has more features out of the box. You may check this article to make sure that WooCommerce is good enough for you.
