So what is the best way to find niches? Should I just start googling random phrases, and analyzing it with google adwords, or is there a better way to do this?

If you look around in warrior forum or similar forums you will be able to find FREE WSOs or postings related to TOP Niches. You can also do a random search in Google with keywords "Top 10 Niches", "Best Money Making Niches".. Don't forget to add Top, best in you searches

I don't recommend using any wso's if you are new because you need to know how to filter through the spam. Most people will post there just trying to harvest email addresses. If you want to find a niche look around your house at a few expensive items that are not everyday items you talk about like electric fireplaces. Google it find your drop shippers find any communities that talk about it and see if there is a large potential audience. If you think that it's worth it go for it and start building your name up.

If this is your first foray into drop shipping, I actually don't recommend that you search for a niche. Instead try to identify a single profitable product that you can focus all your efforts on selling.

As I've discussed on my blog (see sig.), your ideal product should be:
    • Small
    • Between $10 and $200 so you can invest in a sizable inventory
    • Evergreen so that buyers will be looking for it year-round

Also, keep in mind that you ideally want to sell at a minimum 100% markup... This is why we pick the price range that we do, because these products tend to offer the most markup potential.

On the other hand, if you're looking to set up a full-fledged eCommerce store and that's why you're doing niche research, obviously this post won't be quite as directly relevant. However, many of the same principles still apply...

Consider niches that allow high commissions or markups, low shipping costs, and an evergreen audience.
