In order to give you an answer on this, I need to know where your traffic is coming from.

Your site looks good and the prices on the products I checked were competitive.

So, I would look to where you are getting your traffic as the first possibility to why your conversion rate is so low.

All the traffic sources you named, generally speaking, yield soft prospects -- in my experience.

I get very few conversions from SEO or forum traffic. In fact, I don't spend any more time generating traffic from these sources.

Instead, I invest heavily in Google products ads, which yield people looking to buy now. My conversion rate is good, as are the conversion rates of many other ecommerce stores using Google product ads.

        That's my take.

You should consider a minimum of $500 a month. There are companies that charge you a monthly fee and a small percentage of your ad budget to take care of setting it up, including building and submitting the feeds, etc.

I get a good rate of return on my investment. I let a company handle all the technical set up. Lexity is one such company, but there are many others offering this service.

I am also going to try Amazon Product ads this month, but I am not sure what the ROI or conversion rates will be. I've heard good reviews, but the proof is trying it yourself. I'll report back.

If you have the time and don't mind resubmitting your feed numerous times until Google approves it, you can do it yourself. Many do.

            Good luck.

Make sure your product descriptions are unique and not the manufacturer descriptions. This will help you get more free organic traffic from search engines. Also, include product videos where possible. Maybe go to youtube and find people leaving testimonials on the product or using the product and embed it on the product page. This will help with conversions.

    I just had a quick look at - Zox Roost X Adrenalin, Red - X-Large : Helmets

When the page first loaded it didn't look like there was much content. I was just about to click the back button but decided to scroll down and then I saw the description.

I would try pulling your description up to just below your price and add to cart (place it above your share buttons)

Would nice if that page also showed me a rock solid guarantee that if i didn't like it I could return it easily.

How fast and how much will delivery cost me?

On your home page I'd like to see a large graphic box (like your product boxes) showing the different categories - Marine, Dirtbike etc just so I can't miss it. Make it easy for me to see where to click rather than have to look around to much.

On Adwords make sure you are sending traffic to the most relevant page possible - not your homepage.

The rest of the products I would change so they were category links to other pages like 'Gloves', 'Goggles' show a picture that shows whatever that category is. So if I'm looking for gloves I can easily scan the page for a picture of gloves. Make it easy for me.

If you're not convinced do an A/B split test.

    Good luck

Thanks I will tighen up the box to bring up the description. i will add the 30 day return to every page I just added to most of the titles, but are cleaning up the descriptions ..60,000 products.I am aslo going to attempt to add a buy box on the every prouduct box. with so many products it seems very hard to find products..thats why I added to side menu ,that gives direct links to what I think would be the best sellers.. that is a flash banner menu added with links from the site
    .

I am not a guru. I'm just a guy looking to get away do something fun.

I like your banner pictures. I would like more outdoor scenic shots somewhere to get away.

I clicked marine and trailer (ocean guy), and the page got stuck to "loading publication." Hitting refresh fixed it. I hit your youtube icon on top and nothing happened.

I think a flag would help.

You need to fix the side bar to make the headings bigger -- "snowmobile" has got to be bigger than its sub-components. Maybe different colors.

I would group you front page product listings by category. I want ocean so will click only ocean.

That's it. It look great btw. Good luck!

I agree, you should try Google Ad Words. Here are some suggestions are things you can do where you will not have to pay money.

    - Write more detailed reviews. I suggest you take a look at a few sites that have reviews and try to see what things you can pull from there reviews, but more important, try to see how you can make your review unique from all these other reviews.

    - You can start a Podcast that help people in your niche. Having a Podcast is a great way to build up a following.

    - You can interview other people in your niche or related to it. Try to interview people that already have a following.
