Hugo Boss Jackets $1-$50 on Ebay

Hi,

I have watched around 20 videos on YouTube in which people go into detail with examples of how they buy high brand clothes from thrift stores and resell them online for good profits.

Today I found a Hugo Boss suit jacket however when I search through the sold completed listing the prices vary from $1 through to $80 for very similiar items.

How can someone sell a suit jacket for $1 with $9 shipping and be worth their while.

Is it possible that they sold by mistake for $1?

Show the link your referring to. Even with electronics $1 does not go a long way/

It seems like a lot of the people selling items like that for $1 are usually from China or something. Also, I know some sellers will go super cheap like that to boost their feedback scores.

My own personal pricing strategy is more middle-to-upper price range of what I see in the completed listings. If my item is in really good condition I'll price it higher (obviously). But I've sold many items that were higher priced than other listings.

Thanks, do you sell clothes? The thing I struggle with is identifying unsual clothing items and getting a fair price for them.

I have also found some vintage "designer" brands but when I search for on Google I cant find any trace of them.

For example today I found a "Philip Daniel" coat. Its quality popped off the hanger but when I Googled it I found nothing. The same with eBay.

For the most part those guys are playing the VERO game with ebay. List enough stuff and wait till the brand comes in through eBays VERO program to have them taken down. I know a couple people that sell high end luxury goods on eBay and the key thing for them, is taking the time to show that they are legitimate goods. Lots of photos, pictures of tags and explaining what makes them legitimate.

I know one girl (she is actually an eBay employee) and she sells LV and other high end bags. These products get alot of notice by eBay but because she can show exactly why they are legitimate, her listings stay up.

Another friend buys most of his suits off eBay (Valentino, Boss, Armani) at steep discounts because the buyer gives a ton of information. Like anything in IM, providing value to the customer (information as well as price) will give you the leg up.

What is the VERO program? Please explain and why does it lead to items being taken down.
        Thx.

Volume and really low shipping rates. It probably cost something like $1.50 to ship.

China's Post Service have a deal with USPS where they charge them by TOTAL weight of all their orders in a package instead of individually. At the end of the day, it cost them like .10-.25 cents to ship a package to their US customers from China/HK.

They also get a nice rebate from their gov't when they export to US. Somewhere between 10%-17%.
