Looking to start an eCommerce site for a sleep supplement - Questions

I'm in the planning stages of starting a small e-commerce website-based business, but i have some questions due to the nature of the product.
I recently tried a plant that has yielded great results in my quality of sleep and realized there are little to no US-based vendors and it is a fairly unknown to the public.
Considering it is a product for consumption of a plant that isn't regulated and doesn't have a great amount of information available, what are the legal troubles would i could be looking at? What if someone has a bad reaction (I've heard or read of none thus far) ? Would any sort of approval, license, or analysis be absolutely necessary to clear legal liabilities? Is a Certificate of Anaylsis required to sell a product like this?
I get a bulk direct shipment of the grounded root and cap them up; there is nothing synthesized or added to the supplement other than the completely unadulterated root so purity of the product isn't an issue. I'm trying to keep this as a small from-home niche market business i can make extra bucks on the side.
Seeing as people set up their own stores on eBay and other markets without much licensing and all that, I don't see why i'd need all of it either, but i want to clear this up before i set myself up for trouble.
Do i need a license to sell? To manufacture since i'm capping and packaging? cGMP regulations mandatory?
I'm in the state of Florida.
