Hi - I've been reading posts here for a long time and know there are some wealth of experienced people here with great advice.. I am in need!

I created a product design, filed a utility patent, after many prototypes created and sourced it and had a company manufacture hundreds for me and now the hard part to sell them. I was referred to bigcommerce to open a store so I did that recently (October) I like the platform but I have ONE product. so I grabbed a bunch of affiliate products that compliment the one I made and continue to add them. So now I am struggling with traffic and find out if anyone even wants what I made. I slowly am adding facebook likes and mostly doing those via targeted Facebook ads to drive people to my site. I've also opened a pinterest account trying to be creative and add value for visits (not many yet) I've had over 500 visitors now via google analytics and the analytics provided by bigcommerce, and no conversions also I am posting on running forums, I am a runner and many talk about looking for ways to carry their phone (one of the reasons I made this to begin with). I started a blog but it feels lame and has all of 5 posts. so.. I need some good advice.. I have limited funds at this point for marketing looking for any great suggestions on the site or the product or strategies I should pursue - again the iSportsbra is the only thing I actually made the rest are dropship iSports Bra - Patent Pending Designed SportsBra for Women

Thanks in advance.

Get your site geared for conversion and SEO first. There are a lot of pages with very little content on them. Remember, all your content needs to be unique.

Once this is done, start reaching out to people that may find your product useful. Outreach to some of the top running blogs, and offer to write guest posts for them. Write some great top quality content for them to get your name out there. You also need to be taking part in social media conversations in the running niche and take part in their online communities.

I have actually worked within this niche before. You will find out that 99% of runners want to do it as cheaply as possible. They go running to get healthy and NOT pay for the gym, they also have relatively cheap running shoes. Very few runners accessorize with heart rate monitors, proper running kit, etc. Until you reach out to these other blogs and get involved in the community, then you won't know about the demand for your product.

Cool product, as others have said try to get on other peoples blog to promote it. Add some more featured products, currently you only have one and it makes the homepage look plain, I had the same problem as you and what helped me out was I refined my adwords campaign and made it more targeted. I went from 20 visitors a day to over 100 just by doing that. also I downloaded a free program called traffic travis and it helped me with some of the SEO since I knew nothing about it.

I was looking at this market myself.

Whilst I can see use in your product the site does nothing to convince me to buy from you.

Even the white text is hard to read on the graphic. There is no headline, no call to action, no social proof.

I figure you have 2 options - contact sports bra retailers and sell through them.

But if you want to sell it direct you need a sales letter / video direct response website.

Come up with a strong headline.

Show me the product in more detail. More pictures

I want to see testimonials - give it away to a few users and ask for their feedback.

    Offer a great guarantee.

Sell it to me - how comfortable is it to wear? Will my phone be safe....

Give as much detail as possible.

All on the 'Home page' I want to see this straight away without having to click.

I am no expert but in my personal opinion one of the first things that turned my shopping sense off was the product photography. Better product photography may provide leaps and bounds in improvement.

    Hi,

Your product is quite cool. I like it.

Your website is a bit busy though. There's way too many pages and no content. For selling a single product, check out buypeel.com as a reference. They're selling one product and highlighting all its features and benefits with a simple and easy interface.

A simple wordpress ecommerce store with a paypal buy button would probably suffice. 1. Explain/show off your product, 2. Call to action--buy.

After that the rest of the effort should be on marketing.

For your blog + testimonials what you can do is give it for free or for a discount to your female friends who would use it. You're targeting friends or people who would appreciate your product and would like to help you out. They can take a picture of them wearing it and post it on Facebook or Twitter with a link to your site.

Other things include being active in online jogging communities or blogs and introduce other women to your product w/o being spammy.
