I need to accept payments from Nigeria on my woocommerce website. Paypal is a no go so I assume I want a credit card processor that will accept a CC from Nigeria. Are there any cheap processors that do so? This is not a huge site or anything so do not want the fees of authorize.net. He told me Google Wallet would work. Any thoughts?

What an insulting thing to say about a country just because some people are dubious. I believe in any country you have bad eggs, that does not mean all the eggs are bad. We should take caution in how we comment about a country as a whole.

Yea, I think Nigeria isn't the best country to do business with

But why you think PayPal isn't good in this situation?

You could try Payza, it's a payment processor just like Paypal. I don't know if they have any restrictions though..

Nigerians are not Bad people, it's only that some fagots who called themselves "Yahoo Boys" use the internet for doing Evil things, scamming Gullible people...
If you don't mind I will try exposing their tricks to you as soon as I understands how they operate..

I don't know who authorize the westerners to call Nigeria scams! lo! what do they know about cyber crimes or online scams? It worst among those nations pointing accusing fingers at NG. I've been scam by folks from Indian and one other Asian nation.

Yet I've some of the best friends in Indian who has impacted greatly in my online biz, for bad egg to have scammed me from that country does not warrant me to say that nothing good in online biz deal with Indian comes by.

Ah Well, years and years of online scam has really tainted nigeria! Too bad! Anyways, not to add more to the already diversified topic, @idiaz117 i think i may be able to help you!

I have several woocommerce installations and even a drupal commerce installation that my team has been able to integrate payments for using Interswitch and GlobalPay. These are local Payment processors in Nigeria.

So basically what you may need is the plugins we built, Perhaps i could direct you to the sites i have integrated these payment plugins on so you can see! And Yes i'm a Nigerian. !

Honestly, you will have a really hard time getting setup with a processor. If you can find a company to run payments through they will most definitely set you up on a rolling reserve and your fees will be so high that anything you sell will most likely have such a small margin it would be difficult to even break even.

I live and work in Nigeria and that is actually not the case! The highest commission deducted on a per transaction basis I have come across is 1.5% and the 1.5% caps at about N2000 (naira) the only high fees are the initial set up fees you pay to the processors but even that is being turned on its head! Most of them are now more or less free to set up! The plugin above was made for woocommerce for GlobalPay system. GlobalPay accepts Master and Visa cards! GlobalPay is free to setup.

You can check ThemeForest for available payment processors, and see which ones of them would work for Negeria. Good luck buddy!

For the nay-sayers - you can do business everywhere, just think about it...

And that was said above already, but this:

what kind of scam are you getting into ? nothing good comes doing business online from Nigeria
is so wrong... How can you just call all 150 million people living there scammers?

    Good news!

    Paypal now available to Nigerians!

I think Paypal knows how much they have lost marginalizing the largest black nation on earth.

You can simply add Paypal to receive payment from Nigeria
