Hi. I am trying to find wholesalers in China and not having any luck in google. I am an affiliate with a global nutritional company that has just opened in China with a dealership program with a natural anti-inflammatory wellness drink. The product is registered and everything is set. Does anyone have any idea of where I can go to locate a wholesaler who would be interested. They will not be allowed to sell the product online - only within the territories.

Thank you.

Kathy

    Hi Kathy,

I think people have misunderstood what you are trying to do.

With 31 years experience in dealing with China, 9 as an exporter to China and 22 years as an importer from China, I have a good idea how business works there.

Firstly, you will not easily find wholesalers to handle distribution of your product. Even in local trade directories you will not find a "wholesalers" category.

There is a trade organization that I reveal in my book, and they would be your best chance of locating someone to distribute for you, but here is my first suggestion: Try listing on 1888.com, the Chinese language equivalent of Alibaba, owned by Alibaba. They also operate Tmall.com, but that is a consumer to consumer platform, rather like eBay, and is also in the Chinese language. You might be lucky and find a business person browsing Tmall looking for such a product.

The only other suggestion I can make is to look for distributors of complementary, but non-competitive products.

New to the forum, hello all

kmswealth - its been awhile since you posted so I'm not sure if you're all set up here in China.

Otherwise, perhaps I can help you setup China eCommerce distribution. I'm based in China and have been in the business for years now, so I know my way around.

In terms of offline nutritional distributors; perhaps I can help find some as well. PM me if interested.

If you are exporting goods from the US to China then contact the US Commerce Department, Export Assistance. They have offices in all major US cities as well as most smaller ones. They have an extensive on the ground presence in China and their services are generally very low priced all things considered.

Not in the US? Your country likely has similar resources, most do.
