Best SSL Certificate?

Hello All,

I am considering an SSL certificate, as my ecommerce store will be selling higher priced items. Any SSL certificates you guys recommend? Also, most of the popular ones such as Verisign are extremely expensive to purchase, so please make recommendations on any affordable ones you might have used!

    RapidSSL is relatively well priced. Thawte, Comodo etc are all useful and more mainstream options.

      I use the SSL certificates provided by GoDaddy. I have found them reasonably priced and never had a problem with any of them.

      In fact, I have a client that runs a major eCommerce site off of a certificate from here that I have had running flawlessly for 6 years now.

    The Extended Validation (EV) SSL is specially designed for E-commerce websites where high security assurance is needed for users and website.

    If your ecommerce website uses a payment gateway and they have installed an SSL, you might not require an SSL certificate because this takes care of the private information safety issue since the page where the payment would be processed will be secure.

    But, I would like to suggest you, in that case you must be install any DV or OV SSL certificate for e-commerce site.

    Many of trusted Certificate Authorities such as Comodo, Symantec, GeoTrust, GoDaddy, Thawte, etc. provides an EV SSL Certificate or you can go with any SSL Reseller where you can get the same certificate at lowest price.

    Most people believe that ev ssl certificate remain good for eCommerce business. It is true but after seeing this inforgraphic, I am also believing that people should choose ssl certificate as per their eCommerce business size and traffic. SSL is must for ecommerce business.
