Does Anyone Run An Export/Import Agency?

Hi

I am looking to open up an export agency very soon.I will be looking to export products from brazil and find distributors abroad.I am just wondering if anyone has run a business model like this before and can anyone give me any advice on where to start to get supplier contacts in brazil etc.

Any help would be great.

    Brazil is a pain in the butt to deal with - importing or exporting. They are so frigging corrupt that without someone in location to pay under the table it's virtually impossible.

      I opened an import/export agency in China 15 months ago. China's not Brazil, but I'd be willing to share my experience or answer any questions if you'd like to send me a message.

    Call the Brazilian Embassy in London and ask for their trade commissioner (or what ever they call them). It's his/her job to help Brazilian companies export around the world. They can help you, likely for free. At least that is the way it works for most countries.
