My new ad for my web site love to see what you guys think

    Hi drk11,

    Hmm... after watching your video a couple of times it was still unclear to me what you are selling? Is it computer hardware?, website design services? Or, are you selling the website?

    If I had to guess, I would say that this ad was likely produced by a website developer that hasn't any background in marketing. The apparent point of view of the ad message centers around the mindset of a website developer who appears to be trying to sell the website to the current, or prospective, business owner. The narrator mentioned a website and hinted to what the website does, but the whole tone of the ad seems to me to be trying to market the website, not a decal service, was that your intent?

    Also, there was a distinct disconnect in messaging, the audio talks about a website, but the video seems to be showcasing hardware.

    One thing for sure is that the ad messaging does not target the "customers" of the website that was mentioned in the ad. The video left me wondering what exactly you are trying to market with this ad, I really could not tell.

    I have been in marketing for 25 years, and currently run a small advertising agency. I can tell you that if someone on my staff produced a video like this that I would ask them to schedule some time for training on marketing basics. This video could be used as an excellent example of the wrong way to market a product or service.

    I recommend that you redo the ad, write a narrative that speaks to the customers about what is of interest to your customers, from the customers point of view. Include video content that shows customers what they get: "decals". You are selling "decals", not website development, right?

    but the website needs to work and he should show some of the wall decors instead of a spinning laptop.

        I disagree, his video does not show any information about his product or what it looks like, a commercial needs to give information on the product, this video barely gives it a name.

          Hi darbok,

          I agree, with your disagreement, it isn't customer centric, it doesn't show content about what they want customers to buy. It is more of a video to sell the website owner on the developer, it is owner/web developer ego-centric.

    In all honesty I think most WordPress e-commerce stores look cheap and those premium templates with the AJAX animations look funky.

    I don't see anything on your site that's conveying a sense of trust and the page does a poor job of leading the visitor's eye to a conversion.

    To start your search box shouldn't be the most prominent thing on the page unless you're a search engine.

    Im working on another video thats my first go at doing any kind of video editing never mind marketing.

    Some of our competitor sites dont offer create your own decals on all devices this was just my idea of showing this.

    I used wordpress because I dont have any background or training in creating web sites and we don't have a big enough budget to pay for one.
