What is the best way to add content to a e-commerce store without having a wall of text on the homepage, but will still help increase rankings?

    Adding a blog where you update a post at least once a week.
    Also, adding a different sale every day or a few times a week, with a emphasis on a sale, daily deal or deal of the day can help as well.

    Any unique content that is updated or changed often will help your search engine ranking and results.

      That's great advice, up there.

      Also, remember -- as you blog, try and create content that is relevant to your audience and their lifestyle. Avoid just talking about your business and/or your inventory.

      Rather, try to write about topics that your audience would find interesting, entertaining, and useful. This way you can position your blog as something that you created to serve your audience, rather than yourself. This goes a long way when it comes to trust and authority for your brand. It also helps encourage more traffic and inbound links to your site...so it ultimately helps you out with SEO, as well.

    You don't need a wall of text to rank your online website. It's important though that you know what keywords reflect your business and which you would like to rank for. A wall of text does help your homepage to rank for more related short tail keywords though. If it's at the same time attractive to read, I think it's definitely a good investment.
