Drop shipping copyrighted merchandise?

If a drop shipping website sells copyrighted merchandise manufactured in China, like clothes with Batman or Marvel characters, will the owner of copyright be able to delete said website? Even if the website is registered in outside the US, like South Africa?

Any help appreciated. Thanks

    You need to talk to an attorney in your jurisdiction that understands copyright laws. That being said, you need to make sure everything is outside the jurisdiction you are worried about. If you have a South African TLD but use a US hosting company then yes, they can still take it down. Even if it is offshore, copyright owners can still do DMCA take down notices to the search engines to get you de-indexed in the search rankings. Either way, without the copyright holders blessing, you are going to have a hard time.
