Hi Warriors,

I am planning to start my new venture in Two-sided market place like themeforest.com or like etsy. I am planning to start this business in one niche first and upon success i will expand it to multiple. I gathered all information to create a marketplace. Even i can bring visitors to my site who can buy the digital product. My ultimate problem is to get the seller for my website. For instance if I am planning to start a market place like themeforest its hard to get a contact info about the themr/plugin sellers. If you have any experience or idea about this then your suggestion would be very helpful for my venture.

Thanks in advance.

Awaiting for your best suggestions

You need some kind of compelling offer to get vendors to join. As you recognize, without vendors you will never get off the ground and attract customers.

You don't say what specific market you are targeting I think there are 2 keys that could help you attract vendors.

    1. Establish Credibility and Viability: If vendors believe that you will be successful then they will be more likely to consider joining your platform. You can do this by describing how you will attract traffic and describing your marketing plan, partnerships etc. If you don't have any solid strategy then your platform won't sound appealing.

    2. Offer some special perks to early vendors. Perhaps 100% payout for the 1st 6 months or something similar.

It's much superior to run a marketplace that is anywhere people want to go for reasons other than trade and advertising.
