Hi I'm an online retailer in Singapore and has been selling for close to 10 months locally for physical products. Like to enter into USA market and wonder how to get retailers merchants to buy wholesale or various merchandise from my site and also consumers on my current site.

Here's my site at bargainshopz.net.

Any input and recommendation would be welcome. My products all come from HK.

HOW do they pay you? Unless you are a mfg, I can't imagine major retailers buying from you. You want the small retailer and consumer. You are in every niche, stick to a niche that is not highly competitive. Are your prices better than they can get US domestic importers?

Do you offer dropshipping? If you do then ebay sellers may be interested in selling your products.

Drop shipping from Singapore? He is going to have to 'land it' in the US or sell a retailer a large bulk orders. There are way too many US domestic importers that will kill him on price. How does the retailer handle returns for defects?

Ok, if that is the barrier to entry, what about USA consumers and flea market retailers? How do I reach out to these guys who are looking for bargain. I think my price is really at wholesale price and shipping is free.

Hey man, good to see someone else from Singapore here as well

anyway, it's better if you sell it as a consumer product rather than wholesaling.
Because your margins will not be big if you're going to sell it over there due to domestic competitors who might just kill you on it.

Why not open up in the SEA area instead? it's smarter that way. Or the Oceania Region like Aussie & New Zealand. Shipping won't be too much of a killer there as well.

      Regards,
      Abel

What can YOU do for them that a Wal-mart or a US domestic importer can't do. NO small retailer or even consumer is going to buy from Singapore. What guarantee do they have that 100% of the merchandise is not defective or broken? You're telling me that all merchandise is FOB NYC? HOW is anyone paying you? TERMS of sale?

Another option to consider is to sell your goods on Amazon FBA, open an account, look into packaging requirements-send..also the U.K amazon can sell your goods into the European market-take a look.
