Change what people see when sending me money via Paypal?

Hi,

I have a paypal account that I use as an individual. It is in the form of name@lastname.com, so it's pretty easy to see who has the account.

I would also like to use this account to receive payments from clients to my company "Blue Widgets" (not the real name ), via a payment link on my website.

Is there a way to set up my paypal so that clients don't see name@lastname.com, but sees it as a payment to "Blue Widgets"?

    is it a business account? are you using a shopping cart? Short answer is, yes you can change a setting in PayPal that shows it as a merchant ID, instead of your email address. You can also change what shows up on the card statement. But, I am pretty sure you can only do this with a business account, not the individual accounts. If you are using a shopping cart and doing express checkout, the individual will never see the email address.

    Thanks for your reply. It's an individual account, and I'm planning on just using a 'Buy now' button.

      You need to change it to a business account. Personal accounts will always show your email address or real name. Only business accounts can change the merchant name.
