The BEST way if you want fast results, is to use paid search. AdWords or Google's product listing ads will generate sales right away if your ads and products are good. Of course, you have to have the budget for it.

If you don't have the budget, a good way to get started is a simple strategy like this:
    1. Begin regularly adding content to your site in the form of blog posts and category product guides
    2. Promote your content on Twitter and Facebook (and Pinterest if you're in a visual market)
    3. Figure out where your ideal customers hang out online and join in their conversations. Post in forums and on blog comments, etc. Add a link to your site in forum signatures, and link to specific product or category pages ONLY when it's relevent to a particular forum or blog post.

With out paid ads it takes time. There's just no way around that fact.

the fastest way in my experience is to post regularly on Pinterest if your products are female oriented. there are also lots of price comparison networks that will bring you very targeted traffic. just run a search on google.

Have you considered joining any of the online marketplaces? One big advantage to doing so is the existing traffic and buyers they already have in place. You can then refer these buyers to your Website for future orders, gradually growing your business of customers at your own Website. I know several e-commerce entrepreneurs who did this successfully.

There's a ton of good advice in this thread, and a lot of it falls under something that's now come to be known as content marketing.

It's probably the most cost-effective kind of digital marketing, when you consider how easy it can be to create and curate the content that your audience wants...even when they don't realize they want it.

The simplest way to describe this type of marketing campaign is to just suggest that you become a publisher.

Start a blog. I'm not sure what you're selling, but see how you can translate your brand into something that people will want to read on a regular basis. It's important not to blog about yourself or your business. Blog about the things that your audience will find interesting, but do it in ways that often brings the narrative back to focus on your brand.

So, if you're selling outdoor apparel, you might run your blog about outdoor activities, or extreme sports, or something like that. Or both. Basically, find a way to tap into your audience's lifestyle.

Once you've got your blog going, establish your presence on the requisite social networks. You should do some research and figure out which social networks your audience spends its time on - you don't want to waste time and money shucking and jiving on a social network where no one wants to hear from you in the first place (so if you sell enterprise business software, LinkedIn might get a bit more focus than Facebook).

Create and curate content that your audience will like, be entertained by, or be helped by.

Another really great way to get your site a bit more visibility would be to look into coupon and daily deal sites. If you can work out a deal to get yourself featured on one of those sites, you'll be sitting pretty.

Also, affiliate marketing and paid search is another great way to get relatively quick visibility to a new store or site.

Is the domain live yet and is the site built? You can focus on building quality links to your site once it's up and running.

    Without sounding too repetitive:

    Organic SEO > Google/Bing Index
Blog > Helpful articles and updates
Social > Paid Promotion (Like Gating Is No More!) via Facebook/Twitter (Facebook is best to start)
Paid Ads > Google AdWords & Google Shopping
    External > Local fairs/businesses/PR firms

This hits the nail RIGHT on the head.

Without a good plan for organic search engine growth, you're going to have a really tough time getting your site and/or any of its content in front of any actual eyeballs.

It is all pretty simple, you have business seo (press releases, backlinks, social medial) or tech seo (hosting, platform, product counts) whichever way you go it tops at 25-30 visitors per $1 - this is what the corporates get - reducing ~30% each time as you drop down the four tiers. Sure, you can burst with various business services such as backlinks, but you also risk being delisted if you don't know what you are doing and don't stick to the averages.

Social media generates 1-2% of orders, organic - ppc - email 60% between them, so those three are the focus - social is for indirect traffic and branding.

There are a lot of other website builders out there that can also create e-commerce sites, but the majority of them are not as easy to use.

If you want to market your online stores so you must be social in your network and get the result oriented seo professional company provides you the affordable seo solution.
That's what all service providers say - the reality is in most cases you can do everything you want with an off-the-shelf theme (Themeforest high sales are a good start), standard installation, and very very few if any plugins or extensions. The only problem then is the service providers don't have a way to justify their time and charge double what it should have cost. We can tell you that people doing this have happily listed first page Google with mass-market products - but it doesn't fit the 'standard model'.

The key stat you need to understand is that 25-30 visitors per $1 is where it tops out on a medium to long term basis. How you get there is up to you.

Try this as it sums it all up - http://www.warriorforum.com/search-e...ml#post9436913

"Basically whichever path you take you end up with the same end result - 1-30 visitors per $1 - and Google knows exactly how much traffic to send to you within this range to match your site content, performance, platform, profile. Sure you can burst visitors, but their algorithms will catch up and penalise you unless you revert to the mean."
