Product descriptions are definitely a GREAT way to increase conversion?

But what does this mean? There's got to be a bit more to it than simply telling someone to "write excellent product descriptions," right? What even constitutes a good product description?

It's actually a bit of real estate that a lot of online sellers don't utilize to its fullest extent.

Your product descriptions are a great place to really make a splash. Show your customers who your company really is, and what your brand is really like. Let your brand's personality really shine in the product descriptions. Make them fun, entertaining...memorable in some way.

When product descriptions are treated right, they can be a HUGE help for online sellers.

Regarding payment methods, is Paypal alone enough considering it can process credit cards so the buyer doesn't necessarily need a Paypal account?

Beside Paypal I've tried Skrill, which is a very good CC processor, but doesn't have the flexibility (nor popularity) that Paypal has.
What other payment methods should one add to an ecommerce website?

Paypal is definitely the best, but not everyone has an account so you should add direct CC payment on your site for as many CC's as possible.

    Nice post!

I thought PayPal can accept card payments with out the buyer needing an account.

    My suggestions
A simple check out page, easy and quick to fill, not multiple pages/fields to go through.

Good call to actions - a quick buy option is always great.

A clean and professional looking site. People only want to buy from trust worthy sites.

If you need more potential leads/customers then sell on the popular marketplaces and use the sales history to generate a mailing list advertising your site.

    All the best,
