Anyone heard of Ultimo theme?

Thinking about switching to magento and am looking for a good theme..

Anyone had any good/bad experiences with this?

    Yes, works fine - just have good quality hosting and try not to make too many changes - Magento isn't friendly to that.

      What do you mean by this? I plan to use several plugins, will this effect the sites performance? What can be done to ensure the sites performance if changes must be made?

    Of course, it just depends how much and which plugins and number of products and hosting provider and ...Make sure if you add too much spend more money on better hosting. Pretty simple really.

      Agree with kjamesnv!
      You need Magento optimized hosting and don't worry everything works best once site is fully tested.

      And Ultimo is best choice for a great standard looking eCommerce site, You will love Magento when you get familiar with it !

    Ultimo is the most saleable theme but not the best theme if you want to create unique design without codding. Check this Blacknwhite magento theme or for example this: Legenda magento theme. Legend is nice theme but we chose Blacknwhite, since there are tons of admin options and numerous theme features which allowed us to build new store with ease. For sure, you should use server optimized for magento cause magento is very slow engine.

    Running Opencart on a few Ecommerce sites and it is pretty flexible.

    Just got a woo commerce plugin WP site up and going and it processed some sales pretty smoothly and the design side of WP really allows a lot of flexibility.

    I'd expect you would get good results with Magento if you can either afford the development costs or develop yourself.

    It is like any platform it can be super in the hands of a developer who can master what you require. Some big Magento stores cost big bucks.

    Checkout what others are using and check out development costs particularly if you need unique customisations because that is where it can go from simple and smooth to complex and Ouch $$
