Newsletter for translated blog

Hello !

I have a blog translated in both French and English thanks to the plug-in Polylang. I had a newsletter provided by MailChimp which would let me have a French list and an English list. However, I want an autoresponder now and I have been trying to choose among all the possibilities.

I want to clarify that I have read most threads here and reviews for four days. A terrible headache and eyes burning are leading me to ask for your help. I have realized that no one agreed with each others and you are talking to a higher level than mine but I am hoping that my situation may find an easy solution.I just want a newsletter which can manage two languages and an autoresponder.

Yesterday, I had finally chosen MailPoet (Wysija) with the SMTP Mandrill. However, I have some trouble translating the confirmation and welcome page without affecting the original one. I am still awaiting for their support's answer but I sense it won't be possible.

I liked MailPoet because they are mainly French and update frequently their plugin and most websites I visit use it too. Not mentionning their pricing is also reasonnable.

I had chosen as a second option Getresponse or the upgrade version of MailChimp. Although I didn't find Mailchimp easy to use at all. I had a lot of coding work with the submit button not appearing and not leading to any page.

I don't want to choose Aweber because their confirmation email is in English and I have read they don't support the utf 8 characters (although they say the opposite on their website).

I also wanted to mention that while testing my new newsletter working with Mandrill, I received it on my "Promotions" inbox of Gmail and my spam box of Hotmail. Even if I had confirmed the SPF.

I know this subject is always the same but maybe with my parameters there is a better option I am not seeing. What do you think ?

Thank you !

You can change/customise that, if you want to.

I have no experience of bilingual lists, myself, so my opinion's not worth much. But for many reasons I'd always stay well away from Mandrill/Mailchimp, myself, as a matter of "marketing/business principle".
