I am not sure of a guide but certainly check out testimonials of the sellers you are looking at. Chat with them and ask how they build their list and what they charge (normally around 35-45 cents per click. A good seller will reply to you and advise you and re-assure you how their list is put together. You obviously want to avoid sellers that are reselling someone else's list or that are going to use bot traffic to send to you.

Look for sellers selling at least 70% tier 1 links. These are the english speaking countries like USA, UK, CA, AUS and NZ

There are some good facebook groups you can find sellers on and loads of testimonials. Also try udimi.com.

Worth starting off with around 100 clicks to test out your opt-in page and also the seller.. If it works you can scale up

If you want to go the solo ad route, be sure to have some excellent tracking in place, so you don't end up being scammed by bot traffic...

Something along the lines of 'My Click Boss', or 'Quality Click Control' are, I feel, a necessity if you want to build your list with solo ads.

Before buying any solos I'm recommending you to get the 'Solo Ad Black Book' by Matt Bacak first.
You'll get a good feel of who is a more reliable solo ad seller and who isn't.
    Good luck

More important than a course is to know which solo ad providers
really delivery on their promise and not rip you off. You may want
to check out this FB group.

Look up Igor Kheifets. I know hes a big solo ad seller and buyer and knows a lot of cool little tricks and tips related to that.

Basically with solo ads its important to make your money back somehow. Make sure you have some type of one time offer so you can recoup your cost and invest back into buying more solo ads.

Forget about testimonials, 9 times out of 10 they are fake and left by mutual swaps.

The best advice I can give you (and anyone for that matter) is to either find a good provider through a friend (or someone you can trust) OR request that they send you a 20-25 click test so that you can test the responsiveness of their leads without paying a single dime.

If their legit (only 1 out of 10+ are) they will be more than happy to provide this. Once you receive the test clicks, check your autoresponder after a few days and see if they opened your email and clicked on your links.

If their real subscribers and your offering them something of value (free course, ebook, video) then they will at least open/click on your emails, since that is what they originally signed up for in the first place. If half the leads actually showcase open/click rates, then purchase a 100-200 test package.

Don't waste your money on BS solo ad scammers. There are too many out there hoping that you'll purchase a 100-200 click test package that will result in nothing more than "hollow leads" for yourself and a fat bankroll for them.
