I think this is the certainly the case with swaps, solos and click banking.

You can however find some good sellers/swappers that have far more responsive lists that others. Often its worth looking at sellers or swaps that have don't have the most reviews but look at the stats of the reviews and note feedback on the number of opt-ins and more specifically the number of buyers.

Once you find the good ones.. keep a note of them!

You certainly cannot guarantee that your subscribers are not going to be on any lists. What you can be sure of is that if you swap or buy solos they will certainly be on lots of other lists and you might not be getting their "best" email address.

If you want better quality traffic and be sure to get the email address that counts then depending on your niche and market FB ads can be really powerful if targeted correctly. You will find however in most cases you will have to pay more for the subscriber but you are probably going to get a better quality list in the end.

Personally I use all methods and mix it up.. quite often you will get some really good subs from swaps and solos - but you must be prepared for the bad ones as well!

Your list will be as good your traffic.

It's difficult to get a really responsive and excellent list by inbreeding.

And yes, this would be a good term to use for the adswapping & solo ad traffic that many people shoot for.

Doesn't mean it's bad... I myself am on dozens of lists, and still buy products from time to time. You can make sales to people who are on dozens of other lists.

    It's simply more difficult - that's all.

Don't concentrate all your efforts on just this method of traffic - Do Kindle books, do Facebook or Bing ads, do bonus page gifts, do WSO's, both free and paid. Make sure you have a website, keep content flowing on it, and are use it to build your list.

Then you'll have a better shot at building a great list.

    Just my 2 cents worth...

Sometimes the subscribers from SafeSwaps (now Udimi I think) aren't the best. They are most likely on a ton of marketers list who pitch them tons of offers and send them tons of solo ad emails.

On the contrary, there are SOOO many marketers that are doing adswaps, I doubt you could really get mixed up with a ton of other buyers who are just gonna treat you like another 'list'. Not to say that it's not possible but I think if you're doing alot different adswaps with different people you're getting to expose yourself to all those different people.

you need to implement things, so you can standout from the rest of the competition.
adswaping is working good for me.

No matter if you are into adswapping or not, the subscriber would be in someone else list.

Don't build your list this way my friend.

People who build there list this way don't know what they are talking about.

You was smart enough ask this question. Go with your GUT!

Always make sure solo ad vendors are selling unique clicks and anything below .40 per click I would avoid. Ask to see landing page of theirs, and see if they have any sales. Always buy low likes 100 clicks prior to getting a "bad list". Always track your results, and always get tier 1 clicks at least 70% or above. I use a site like UDIMI (which is Safe-Swaps other site) because they filter out all bot traffic, and you can easily avoid getting scammed. Also not all traffic is bad, sometimes it comes down to how well your funnel converts, and follow up is solid.

I've bought a couple of solo ads on there but the quality of the subscribers is alright. I've gotten better results with buying solo ads from Facebook groups and other private forums.
