Are Your Emails Being Ignored?

16 people read this post, no one responded. That, my friends, is an example of very poor copywriting.

No one wants to write a post that nobody responds to, just like no one wants to write an email that nobody responds to.

This post's call to action was to give an answer, yet the call was ignored.

Was it because the question was bad?

Did no one know the answer?

Was the question so simple that even an ignoramus could answer, but due to it also being boring no one wanted to bother taking the time to answer?

These are the questions we must ask ourselves when our copy fails.

Other questions to ask are:

Is my topic uninteresting? *If no one cares, no one will respond*

Is my writing confusing?

*No one will respond if they don't have a clue what you're saying or what you want them to do*

Do I look like a scammer?

Is the email provider sending me into the spam folder?

The most important question to ask is, "what can I do to make my copy better?"

Because the ultimate purpose for every email is to get a response, whether this response is a click or a reply.

Have you ever sent out an email that got ignored? Reply here and tell me what you did to get people's attention and make them care enough to respond.

* I answered my own question, by the way, most email copywriters write the copy for their clients email campaigns, then hand them off to their clients to actually send them.*
