How often do you promote an offer before you move on?

I've seen a few different methods used;

- Some prefer to pre-sell the offer, then provide the offer, then provide follow up emails about the offer.
(this process often takes weeks)

- Some prefer to pre-sell, provide the offer, and only a few follow ups before moving on.
(this process takes a week or two at most)

- Then there are those that switch up offers every few days. I'm assuming that this is more a churn and burn game plan.

Alright fellow Warriors, what method do you prefer and how long do you promote a single offer before moving on to the next? Obviously, not every method will fall under the umbrella I just painted, so feel free to share what works best for you.

One of my Flagship products..well I NEVER stop Promoting it !! (of course it is spaced out in different intervals in FollowUps/ Broadcasts.)

I promote about 6 Core products that I think are outstanding. I do not deviate far from this. (periodically, I evaluate them and may add one or two that are equally outstanding.)

To me someone promoting a different product every other day ( to infinity) is some one who I quite honestly do not want to be on their List anymore.

I want to be involved with people who truly believe in select products rather than those who want to offer the flavor of the month products. A.K.A. Churn and Burners

When you promote your own products, do you leave buyers on the same list? Do you email more insight and tips as well as provide a link to buy? Just curious because if I was on a list of someone that I bought a product for, I don't want them to keep telling me about their product I already bought, unless they were adding more content and value to it.

I think it depends on your specific situation. I promote via email only via the P.S. it's not much of a bother - if you already bought the product you still get the content information, and you can just ignore the below P.S.

Plus I have multiple products to sell, so even more so a subscriber won't exactly get annoyed with seeing the same thing.

If on the other hand you're promoting just 1 or 2 products and do it in the body of the email then yet it can annoy those who already own the product (it's pointless) - in that case move buyers to new list and create follow-ups specifically for them for instance.

So there's never one good approach, you have to do what's best for yourself.

So when you say to move the buyers to a new list, would that be done manually or through an opt-in before they have access to the product? I know a few products I've bought I had to opt-in to get to the page, I'm assuming thats just their way of moving me to a new list.

It can be done automatically with aweber and probably with other popular autoresponders. You can also automatically unsubscribe them from one list and put them on another (probably they have to re-optin though)... you have to check details carefully

I normally vary the length I promote the products I am selling.I normally push a product out for a week, normally through one email a day to my lists. I also use my autoresponder (Aweber) to move subscribers to various lists in order to rotate my products. For example, if i have an optin for a sales funnel series that focuses on a new product, in one of my 7 day emails to the subscribers I will also include a flagship product series (at a reduced price or as a freebie) that I can use to help them optin to the new sales funnel. IMHO you can always find a way to sell a product consistently.
