Lead pages opt in vs multiple page sites

Hi Guys,

Still relatively new at this and was wondering what your opinions about this would be.

It seems as if a lot of email marketers purely create a lead pages site to collect addresses quickly whereas some will spend the time creating a site with multiple pages with articles and such on them.

I can imagine having the full site will increase your traffic (SEO surely increases with the extra content to be referenced?) but is it worth the time taken to create?

What are your thoughts on this? I see there are a few threads on "affiliate websites vs squeeze pages" but I'm really talking about effectively having a website with multiple squeeze pages with just more content... Hope this isn't too noob of a question...

Thanks in advance for any input

It seems like you are describing two entirely different kinds of approaches.

One is setting up and sending traffic to it (PPC, Solo-Ads, Social) purely to collect the leads and follow-up by email. Quick, but you'll need to either pay for traffic or have some other kind of strategy in place (for example: reference the squeeze page in your Kindle book).

The other approach is to build authority with a full fledged website and articles. his can help with attracting SEO traffic but it's by no means guaranteed or can take a while. Of course, here you can use the same strategies as above.

Which strategy works best, probably depends on the kind of customer you are trying to convert. Hope this helps.

Thanks man, I'll have to play around with both methods to see what works best for my approach
