Do you think premium email marketing software is a good option for any blogger?

With premium email marketing software, the rate is proportional to the number of subscribers. By examples, Aweber charge $19 per month for up to 500 subscribers; Mailchimp gives a free membership for up to 2000 subscribers.

When you're new to blogging, it is not obvious that you'll know how to get the money from that list. While it is recommended to build email list from day one, do you think it is wise to start with a professional email marketing software?

I think about free email programs such as feedburner, Wysija. They are alternatives to build list and then export as excel file! What do you think?

I think it depends what you are trying to achieve. Mailchimp is good but doesn't allow any affiliate marketing so if you are planning on sending any affiliate links then this is a no go

One significant advantage of premium software is deliverability. If you want guarantee to get your hard-work in front of people and not stuck in a spam box then it can certainly be worth investing in something like Aweber, Getresponse, Infusionsoft, Hubspot etc..

It does, but their free service is not an autoresponder: it's only a broadcast-sender. You can't realistically compare the two (actually for a number of reasons!).

Why does nobody use mail chimp?

It is to bloggers who are building a list. It wouldn't really be sensible to build a list without first knowing how you're going to monetize it: you wouldn't be able to attract the right people at all, that way: there would be little realistic targeting, and no continuity, and no expectation-setting for subscribers. List-building without continuity and expectation-setting has no benefits worth talking about: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6123982

You need to start with a proper autoresponder, of some kind, because without that, your list is unlikely to have any future value to you. Subscribers need to hear from you on the day they subscribe and again the next day (or the day after), and you have to have that automated. Otherwise it isn't really worth doing.

I think they're basically nonsense, and that people who use them will never be able to import their so-called "lists" into a proper autoresponder anyway, and collectively they'll hardly benefit at all from what they mistakenly imagine "list-building" means.

In contrast to temporary and less important stuff like "Where to host?", the "Which autoresponder" question is one of the very, very few things in internet marketing which you really do have to try to get right, as soon as you start, because the opportunity-cost of failing to do is considerable, and difficult to understand at the beginning, when you lack email marketing experience.

    "Fixed that for ya'!"

Not for any blogger but for the most serious ones. Premium softwares can make your job easier and much more efficient.

I think the best software out there is Infusionsoft. I have been using it for the last 3 years and have over 40,000 people in my database. In case you want to take a peak at how I am using it, let me know. I will give you a 10 minute tour of my Infusionsoft App.

You can email me on ashwin@equinoxlcm.com

    Thanks,
