hosted or self hosted email marketing softwares? does PO Box need to be U.S?

aweber , mailchimp, getresponse or etc
which is recommended and cheaper in long run?

i am thinking of self hosted email marketing software, will it be cheaper in long run?
Have issue with the technical part like ip get blacklisted if mass email send.

What to do when ip get blacklisted?

usually in the footer, also required by can-spam act, I do not wish to show my real address. Could i rent a PO Box from my own country or any country but it state - PO BOX with U.S. Postal Service
or could i put a fake address?
or just country name like "United States" for the address

    No; it doesn't.

Yes, if you have any volume worth talking about, it's bound to be cheaper in the long run.

There will be some disadvantages, too, I think. Most people seem to find that. Your delevery-rates to in-boxes may possibly not be so high. It will be your own ESP services that are exposed to risk if recipients press the "spam" button in their own email client software. There can be technical difficulties and problems (that's the main thing that puts me off the idea), and so on. I see the advantages, but I see many potential disadvantages, too. For myself, it's a service I'm happy (at least for now) to outsource to professionals, given its low costs.

No - I think not. That would be deceptive, perhaps? But it may be possible to use an "accommodation address service" inside the US, through which you can receive mail?

It needs to be an address at/from/through which you can actually receive snail-mail.

      Hi Thanks for your reply,

From what i understood from your reply, P.O Box does not need to be U.S? I could purchase any p.o box like from my own country? it won't violate Can-spam act?

is there a cheaper alternative to P.O Box? i just need a address. If U.S P.O Box, I won't be going there to check mail.

Also I wonder , usually what happens when P.O Box mails are full?

      Thank you.

      Hi thanks for your reply.

I am having issue get started with email marketing.
under can-spam act , address is needed. What do you all put?
I do not wish to show my personal address, if use p.o box , does it need to be u.s or any country P.O Box is fine?

Other than p.o box, what other options do i have? I just need a address, do you all have any cost effective option in this case?

There is a reason that most people use aweber etc as they spend time making sure that the emails they send get delivered. Depending on how many emails you are wanting to send you may have a problem getting a good delivery rate and also with your ISP or hosting company. Sucking it up and using a service is the best way to go. I think mailchimp used to have a free starter plan so if you are tight money wise that might be the way to go. They do NOT allow affiliate sales so keep that in mind. Amazon AWS also has an outgoing mail service as well. It is cheaper than the others but there are no bells and whistles, you just get a box to send your mail from.

If your IP gets blacklisted you are pretty much screwed. It takes a lot of time and energy to get off the black lists and some of them will not remove you at all.

Using a PO Box is fine, I have been using one for years with no problems at all. I would not use fake info, just does not seem like a good idea.

I'm not really sure if it matters really. all they need is postal code i think. never put much thought into this.
