Question regarding buyer's list

Hello everyone,

I just had a sales funnel in the bodybuilding niche built for me and have both a "prospects" list and a buyer's list set up in Aweber. I have a 7 sequence follow up series for those who opt in for my free report, but have yet to construct a follow up sequence for my buyers.

My question is, how should I construct my follow up sequence for my buyers? I realize my aim should be to cultivate a relationship with them...but I'm thinking I may sprinkle in some affiliate products in my emails, as I haven't yet created a new product to offer them. Is this a solid strategy?

A little feedback and advice would be greatly appreciated prior to investing my time and energy into writing a follow up series for my buyers.

Thanks so much!

Scott

    Hey Scott.

You can promote many products in bodybuilding Niche.
I believe it will be good to sent at least one message every week.

You don't always have to sell. You can send tips and strategies to them.
Articles with no-cost for you... can create strong relationship between you and your List.

This relationship will create money though...

I think that's as well as relationship building by providing content that they want. It's also important to show face. So when you say sales funnel... are you just relying on the emails to do all the work? Or are they being redirected to a certain page or maybe you're blog with a video?

You want to have a structure in place, so that ideally you can make money on your back-end, which will allow you to break even or be in profit from your ad spend (if any).

Connect with them on Facebook and ensure that your content resonates with your audience. An 18 year old is most likely to have different views and relates to certain things as opposed to someone in their 40's.

      Shaolinsteve,

Thanks for the reply. As of right now, subscribers are being directed to an OTO after they opt in for my free report. I do plan on constructing a blog and perhaps a membership site at some point, but as of right now, I'm focusing more on my list/lists. I just sent you a pm.

I just strictly do Broadcasts for Buyers List. But I heavily focus on Follow Ups for Freebie List.

I would say definitely offer some Aff. Products to your Buyer's List.

Absolutely. They have proven they whip out the Wallet so why not continue to give them what they want.

But keep sprinkling in some good free stuff as well

      Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply. Your strategy sounds pretty solid. As my original message mentioned, I am sending out a 7 message follow up sequence to my freebie list. Would you suggest sending out additional follow ups or sticking to 7 follow ups? I'm guessing that by the 7th email they will have made up their mind about buying your product.

      Thanks again for the advice!

maybe survey your buyers list see what they are mostly interested in, hold a webinar then sell them on personal one one coaching or another high ticket program.

I agree with the above post. Never be afraid to ask what your list wants. Ask them what problems they're currently having, then solve it with a product.

Also realize that buyers are a different breed. When a buyer is added to my list, I honestly don't think of that individual as just a "buyer".

No...this is a motivated, committed, knowledge seeking individual who is serious about accomplishing something. Rather than "tip toe" around the notion that you might scare them off, you better hit them up with some valuable offers that are going to help them get what they want! And do it quick.

This has worked for me personally. Stop thinking about a "buyers" list. Start thinking about these people as committed to an end result, and are willing to do and buy whatever will get them there as fast as possible

Therefore your job is to get busy and find some valuable products that will get them there. Hit them up with an offer as soon as they join your list. If they bought from you that morning, email them that night. Give them something good, help them win. Hope that helps.

      Hi Mark,

I sure appreciate your take. I think you make an excellent point...buyer's are probably more likely to open up their pocketbook right after making an initial purchase. I really am striving to hit that middle ground of providing valuable free information and while also selling products. Obviously your strategy and perspective has worked quite well for you...I definitely want to employ some of this strategy as well. It seems as if so much of this comes down to testing and fine tuning.

Once they become buyers whether it's a 7$ product or more you can send them to higher priced items that convert well that you believe can help them out. You can use follow ups or broadcasts. Follow ups to automate things are better though, than from their broadcast occassional offers to them. Always remember to treat your list with respect.

Follow up with awesome information to build relationship and broadcast them with the newest products on the market! 2 emails per day and that's all you need!

        Hi Alexander,

Thanks for the advice. After looking at all the tremendous feedback to this question, one of the cornerstones of successful list building is building a fantastic relationship with your list. I definitely think potential buyer's are more apt to open up their wallets once they trust you and know that you actually provide something of value.
