Average income per mailing list opt-in?

Hi I know it can range widely depending on the product sold, the quality of the email campaign, and other statistics, but what is the approximate average monthly income per opt in for a subscriber list?

Currently I'm building my list with a squeeze page and I'm marketing it using Bing Ads, so it allows me to ensure quality leads. Also I'm getting about 10 leads per day and started the campaign a few days ago.

Recently I read somewhere that a guy mentioned the average monthly income is about $1 per lead, so with a mailing list of 10,000 the average income would be about $10,000 per month.

Yes $1 per subscriber is about the average. However, this is not set in stone because it can vary by niche and quality of leads.

Hello Cybercast, is that what you get in your own list?

      Whether or not that's true...

A perfect example why anything 'average' just isn't good

$1 per subscriber is pretty darn crappy, although, oddly enough...

It's a goal many strive for, while also failing to think big(ger).

That is a really hard thing to give you an answer to.

I know a young lady who gets way more traffic, following and leads than I do and she doesn't make enough $$ every month to buy groceries.

She gets way more traffic than I do but makes way less.

And this is because she has a poor money 'mindset'.

I told her this and she agreed.

She knows she has an 'internal' issue with money.

You can't make lot's of money if you harbor any negativity towards it. Some religions even teach their people that money is the 'root of all evil' then some of these folks go out and try to get some.

Too hard to answer your question OP. It all depends on the marketer, their style, their beliefs and what they are actually marketing!

      Great post

With what I'm selling I'm sort of sure that I should be able to make an average monthly income of $3 to $5 per lead per month, but it all depends, I shouldn't set too high expectations.

Your goal is to get your first 1000 subscriber and then see if your income is sitting at $1,000 per month.

If this is the case, then you know that you are on the right track.

      Awesome sounds great

I just got amazing results. With the product I'm selling I bid on a keyword which was the brand name of the product people were searching for, which generated me about 5 to 10 leads daily.

But I thought to myself, "hey, since my product helps with weight loss, why don't i create a squeeze page promoting it's weight loss benefits and offer a free report and newsletter", so I started a campaign in Bing for $100 and bid on keywords related to lose weight and weight loss etc, and bid about $1.25 per click (which usually results in me paying about half that, so $0.60), and there was so much traffic coming in, since tons of people search weight loss related keywords, within 2 hours the $100 was used up, and guess what, it blew my mind! I got 50 leads within about 2 hours. I made entering their phone number optional, but name/email required etc, and about 20 of all the leads entered their phone number. For me the phone number is optimal since the price of my product is over $1,000 (a natural health technology) but with a high income potential.

This is amazing, $2 per lead is phenominal. If I had the money I could spend $500 in a day and it's highly likely that I'd get 250 leads, so even if I earn $1 per lead per month, that's a low cost of $500 for a passive income of $250 per month, hence a 2 month return on investment plus passive income after that.

      Can't believe this haha!

There are some people with big massive lists, and than there are those with tiny lists. There are some people that cannot produce any money with their giant list, and their are some people that can produce a lot of money with their tiny list. Instead of thinking of the value of each subscriber , think of what value you bring to each subscriber?
