Advice Needed: Have List of over 9000 Subscribers. How Do I Monetise? Unemployment Niche

Hello guys,,need your advice...my site, a site that posts job offers to people looking for jobs, has an email subscriber base of over 9000 members (thru Aweber). As per the last mailing i sent out, according to Aweber Stats, 2200 people opened the mail i sent out and the same no of people clicked a link within the email.

Now this is a mailing list for people looking for jobs so they might not necessarily (my assumption) have extra money to spend..

The age group for this mailing list is about 18-30 years old.

I wanted advice from you guys on how i can monetise this list. I normally just update them on posts that have been added on the site (hoping they will click on the adsense ads in the process). Adsense income is about 1000 euros per month from this site (mostly from the search engine traffic of about 60,000 visitors per month.)

you can promote some affliate offers on your website, perhaps some E-books on entrepreneurship, or Job training, or how to nail your first job interview. I am sure there are plenty of things unemployed people need. you should be able to find something that they need.

I'm not finding any definition for the term "extra money" anywhere. Is that a myth, like leprechauns and unicorns?

Seriously, though, while job seekers may not have "extra" money, most will find money for things that will help them land a job. Hook them up with things that will actually help them do that, and they will buy.

Things like resume writing services and coaching, interview practice and coaching, other things which might depend on the demographics of your subscribers (beyond the age range).

Maybe a simple email asking what part of finding and applying for job openings they'd like to know more about might help guide you.

Another idea... It's been years since I lost my Adsense account, but is there a way to tell which ads people are clicking on? That might give you a clue.

You're getting lots of Adsense clicks which is good

What I'd recommend doing is setting up a special promotion for your niche about a product that will help them find a job. Something like "confidence tips" or "body language secrets" to help them get the job once their at the interview.

Make it run over the course of four days. Set the price low, and tell them at the end of the 4 days the price will go up.

Email your list promoting the product.

Scarcity and a good product that helps them out with their products is your best bet.

This is the perfect time of year to run a promotion about changing your life in the New Year. There must be affiliate offers for job finding services or even related life changing ideas like starting your own business to get off the job treadmill, or appearance improvement or how to optimize your LinkedIn profile or even how to scrub your social media profiles so potential employers won't be turned off.
