So earlier I posted a thread and I've since stumbled upon an interesting issue with my auto-responder, aweber.

Long story short, my aweber says "pending confirmation" for all new emails i receive regardless if I select single-opt-in or not.

This is an issue because if I decide to send a follow-up email it will only go out to my confirmed subscribers. Any ideas?

Thank you!

How did people optin to your list? Are you using an Aweber form or connecting through the API? For example, anything that uses the Aweber API requires confirmed opt in. So tools like Optimizepress require confirm optin if you are connecting it to Aweber via the API. There are ways around this if that is the case.

Did you turn off the 'Require Opt-in on web forms".
If you have it on you will get "pending confirmation" untill your
      would be subscriber confirms subscription.

I have aweber integrated with a landing page creation service that I use. And yes , I have the option set to off under settings.

I believe you might have hit a spam trap in which case Aweber forces you to do a confirmed opt-in . Just opt-in and confirm using one of your own emails to reset this.

This happens when your traffic getting methods become questionable (obviously if you've hit a spam trap, the visitor had no intention of giving you real permission to email them), so they force you to do double opt-in (confirmed opt-in) once or twice to verify the people opting in your forms.

Everything should reset back allowing you to use single opt-in once one or two confirmed emails are in the system.

Ah, ok this makes sense. The traffic was coming from facebook. I had 30 emails from 100 clicks at about 0.22 cents a click in about an hour..

Any good mentors here on the forum? I need to start learning under someone...
