I've recently started an email marketing service. Similar to mailchimp.
Would like to get some advice on some ideas to grow the business.

    You'll want to appeal to new marketers and those looking for new solutions. Find out what problems people are currently facing with their current auto-responder and be the solution.

    You need to get people's attention. Build a competitive edge. what is it that your service is offering which other companies won't give them?
    Is your deliverability going to be higher than your competitors, will you provide them unique IPs, is the cost going to be low?

    Find out what people want, and give them solutions to their problems. This way more people will start noticing what you have to offer.

      Branding is most important but since you know who your competition is you have to include something which will make you the obvious choice. ' for developers' for students for the family for entreprenuers, for professionals...

        Well id go and find out what kinda problems Aweber and GR users facing that you might slove.
        HINT: there are A LOT people in the solo biz that are looking for other solutions.
        But you gotta be able to provide great deliverability.

    Hi Emp, no hard feelings, i think you are headed on the wrong track already. I think the big question should be: Why did you start the service? If you don't have a reason...pack up. If you have a good reason and a solution your are providing, then your business should be built around this story. Remember, the competition out there is dog eat dog. If you dont have a unique selling proposition, that means you're done for

    I also think about Email Marketing. My first reason is to low the price up to 50% (we already doing this for corporate clients -- email/SMS). So, I would like to ask warriors (and help to Emp) which features are most important? You can change the order and add something.
