A Cool Way To Get Back Folks That Have Unsubscribed From Your List

If you've built an email list of folks that have either bought from you in the past or who have opted in for your freebie, then you probably already know that NO MATTER what you do, you'll eventually have folks that unsubscribe, right?

So, how do you deal with this?

Well, there are actually 2 things you might want to consider doing, and that are PERFECTLY legal for you to do (as of this post):

1. Take that list of unsubscribers and upload them as custom audience on facebook.

2. Delete them from your email list service provider

Why?

Well...

If they've unsubscribed then your list service provider knows not to send them emails, however, they still count towards your overall number of folks you've gotten onto your list, however, you just CAN'T get at them...that plain sucks.

Why do you have to pay to have them on your list when you can't even market to them anymore?

Well...step one here, tells you how to do it.

While I won't walk you through this in this lesson, I will tell you that it can be done...trust me.

So...then why do step 2?

Well, the only reason I've first uploaded them to facebook is so that I had a place to transfer those folks that was useful.

But...I no longer want to keep having to pay to have those people on my list...

So...

I delete them.

Saves me a bunch of money and I still have a way to get at those folks, to possibly get them back onto my list in an extremely affordable way.

Hope you found this useful.

Look forward to getting your feedback.

Want to know more ways to harness what would otherwise seem like a loss?

  • not really a big deal once you have over 500 on your list

There's a reason people unsubscribe, and it's because they no longer want to hear from you. That's a good thing because they disqualified themselves.

Also, creating a custom audience from people who unsubscribed is against the rules as far as I can tell. You can't create a custom audience unless you have rights to that data. When they unsubscribe, you no longer have that right.

Facebook terms of service. Check out point #2

In other words, they're gone. That might suck, but you have to respect that.

The best way is to engage your subscribers in a way that reduces the unsubscribe rates by balancing educational, informational and promotional emails that you send to them.

If you don't email them that often. 1 or 2 times per month is the best way to keep their interest. Emailing them all the time, they will definitely unsubscribe.

Is far better to focus on the people who want to hear from you: your susbcribers.

But if too much people leave, find out why and fix it to reduce future unsubscriptions.

A while back, I experienced a number of marketer's I unsubscribed from importing my name into Imnicamail. It got so bad that I blocked anything from imnicamail to my entire service including my customers.

Before taking that extreme, I contacted imnicamail and tried to explain what was happening. They never gave me a direct answer and the spam continued to escalate. So I took drastic measures. They are still blocked. I don't even know if they still exist, lol.

      VERY unhappy to hear this!

Please PM me, and help me track down those damn abusers and cancel and ban them! NO way we allow that!

And the biggest abusers come from WSOs.

I can tell what gurus are teaching by seeing their student's emails.

You can also ask whether they unsubscribed because they got too many emails, and ask them if they want to subscribe to a list you only send once a week to.

But that only works if you already sent quality emails, not one promo after another.
