Trying to build a super magnetic bribe, need some pro help!

Hey guys,

Im launching my Community Directory / Forum / Social Network soon, and just cant seem to design a killer bribe for them to subscribe to my email list. The site is for Business owners to advertise(paid), but many don't own businesses and are just residents.

So what could I offer that will be highly attractive to them all????

Besides getting my blog articles that are written to make life easier in our area, and them opting in to my squeeze page before the site is launched (Get in before anyone else) I cant think of anything else. Please help!!

The coming soon page is setup like a squeeze page teasing them and having them optin to get information before the site is launched, and so that I can get subscribers whilst I develop it myself.

Any ideas would be amazing! Thanks

Why not offer all the community businesses a free month and let them advertise an exclusive community coupon. Then on your squeeze page say that by subscribing they get access to exclusive community coupons that they can't get anywhere else, etc, etc...

Since your model is to get businesses to pay. Why not add a way that they can build an email list for their business and pitch all the benefits of it as part of your offer. Make it so that the site owns the list and they have to keep paying to keep access to it. Maybe even offer an sms option.

Anyway, that's all that rolls of the top of my head at the moment.

Great idea. Im actually having the entire advertising/listings free for the first 2 months. To get as many businesses on as possible, let them try it and after which they will all want to pay to keep it. What do you think?

Perhaps I should focus more on this and make it part of the bribe, if they signup and join the email list only will they get the 1st 2 months free? Wouldnt that limit the amount of businesses that will be on my directory though? And hurt the goal of getting as many on as possible?

I don't follow your question regarding limiting businesses.

When I said..."Then on your squeeze page say that by subscribing they get access to exclusive community coupons that they can't get anywhere else, etc, etc... " I thought you were trying to squeeze residents into a mailing list, not businesses.
