Lead magnet for email course?

Hi all,

I'm starting a new list and I plan to deliver a short, free email course providing tutorials and pre-selling whilst building trust with my audience.

My question is; from everyone's experience, should I have a lead magnet like a PDF download to entice sign-ups to my list? Or is it enough to advertise the email course and sell the benefits of this on the sign-up page?

Thanks for the advice.

Why don't do both and split test to see what's converting best?

      I do both.

And I find having an E course qualifies my Subs as people who are serious and want to really learn about the subject and the added bonus of a PDF pushes them forward to become a subscriber and enter email

  • Shouldn't you know that already, considering you are creating an email course? Makes me wonder what you'll be teaching.

    Just sayin.

Hi thanks for the helpful reply Robert.

I'll probably split test and see what works best for my audience but it's good to get an idea of what other people are using.
