Question about squeeze page/free offer

When your asking people to opt-in, do you want to let them know that they are signing up for a free newsletter AS WELL when they are opting in for your free offer?

When you ask people to opt-in for free offer, it is better to notice in your landing page or lead magnet that they will get from time to time newsletter. Why? Because if you don't have permission coming from people that they will get email from you , they won't get attention about your email in the future. Get permission first by tell them in detail what they will get from you and you will make money from them easily.

Actually if you're worried about permission, a double optin will do the job. Although the number of subscription will be less, the quality and responsiveness of the list will WAY higher than your average freebie list.

Otherwise, just stick to telling them about the freebie in your squeeze page, THEN tell them about your newsletter in your thank you page.

One thing that you should do for this particular method is preselling your newsletter. Make your newsletter looks enticing and your subscribers should be anticipating your first emails and so on....

It's all about getting those micro-'yes'es until finally they arrive at your sales page and make a purchase!

      Hope that helps!

You just need to offer them a solution to their problem. You tell them that if they are looking for a solution, they will need to opt in. Then after they opt in, send them to the sales page directly.

I tell them in my welcome email. I send them the link to their free thing and explain that they opted in to my newsletter and how to unsubscribe if they don't want to be there.

I always felt that putting it on the squeeze page makes it a bit of a distraction from getting them to optin.

I think it is very important to mention BOTH. Actually I would NEVER have a Sq. Page with just a Free Offer.

The reason ? You fail to qualify your prospects. As some people will just optin to get freebie. So let them know they will get a newsletter or free course and you will get more people who take you more seriously and you set the expectations from the beginning
