I'm going to monetize my list for the first time. I NEED ADVICE!

I'm not going to ask you generic questions - e.g. How to make 10 000$ per day - like other newbies here.
I would like to monetize my list with affiliate marketing.
I've got freebie, landing page, autoresponder(but not already set up, only thank you email with download link that getresponse send after subscription) and traffic technique getting subscribers(guest blogging because I'm a blogger).
Ok, what's my question?
I want to set up an autoresponder.
How many emails(in order to build a rapport) before the sales pitch? I would send emails once a week, maybe twice a week.

About my freebie
My freebie is about changing employees' mind for entrepreneurial thinking. And my newsletters are going to prepare subscribers' mindset for business. Eventually, they won't fear start a business or invest money in it.
I suppose that the best product to offer would be "building online business" or "MMO" niche.
Since I'm not going to create this type of product, I've decided to promote someone else's product.

So how many emails do you recommend to send before the sales pitch? Or how soon should I send them the sales pitch?

Your first step would be to post in the correct forum

There is a sub-forum here called email marketing.

Hey Tony, a lot of the gurus say send 3 emails before the pitch. I'm personally testing this out as well. I have a list of about 200 people right now and it takes time. Having a freebie is great tho because you can pitch earlier since you have already given value. Find a related offer and craft your emails accordingly. Grow your list daily. I use get response. Make it a single optin instead of double you will get higher conversions.

Changing someone's mind is a hard thing to do, although what you're doing is actually very admirable in a sense.

But I wanna ask this: At what level of awareness are your prospects? Because if your prospects are those who're comfortable with their current 9 - 5 jobs, you've to do a very convincing case challenging the status quo.

    3 Stages of buying:
    1. Prospects are AWARE of their problem.
    2. Prospects are searching for solution.
    3. Prospects are aware of YOUR solution and interested in it.

If your prospects are in the 2nd or 3rd level, your job is easier. If they're are on the 3rd level, you can seriously just crank out semipromotional emails (valueable content + hard/soft sell) EVERY DAY.

Hope that helps, but just answer the question first...

      Thank you for the advice!
      BudiT:
Actually changing mindset it's not that hard. I think it's really simple, but it requires a time and a little bit effort. You can't change your mind over the night. That's impossible.

My audience is especially people that are interested in business, but they haven't started because they fear it or generally are not sure whether they should start a business or not.

But that's a great point, I should directly make them aware of their problem, I wasn't thinking about this.

Sales pitch you to information/content of value every 3 - 4 emails give an offer. If you have a really great offer build up the anticipation and release it once at the end of the month and give them fair warning with a kick off special at the start of the month. Just a thought there for you.

Some do offers every other day, but I think that might be excessive since you already built your list.
