Question about autoresponder

Forgive my ignorance I am still learning here but I hear a lot about collecting emails and having a landing page but how do I accomplish this?

For instance I see a pretty good Clickbank product I'd like to promote, but I notice their sales page have a video with a "submit email" button. Can I manipulate this sales page into a landing page and I collect the emails instead and then send them to my affiliate link? If so, how? I was trying out Aweber and it gave me a headache.

You can contact the vendor first and ask if you can do that.

But I wouldn't recommend you drive traffic directly to the sales page as the leads the optins to the squeeze page are obviously interested on the topic thus it filters the people who sees the sales page. Moreover once people optins to the email list of the vendor, they are sending a follow up sequence to close the sales so they are doing the work for you.

Just make sure that's what they are doing since other vendors tends to send them to their own affiliate link. Those are vendors who are only looking for quick bucks and not worth your time since most likely the product will also a complete garbage.

You can also go through affiliate resources of your vendor, where you can find various affiliate links to direct sales page by-passing sqz page. In addition, there are methods by which you can also by pass their sqz page, and put your sqz page in between and send visitors to sales page after optin....you can then follow up your subs further to generate sales or present other offers......

Lots of marketers do something very similar.
They "rip off" part of the salespage
post it on their own website
and put their aff link on the "buy now" button.

I suppose you could try to collect them first.

IMO a better way to do it would be to review the product and add a bonus to it
Honesty will make you more money in the long run,

    IMO.

So if I make it into a review would that be a landing page then?

yes make a review of the product ie do a video and or write a long page with lots of info. Here is an example of a landing page after you add your email it will take you to "sale page" of the offer in our case Google

Yeah you'd have to contact the product vendor. If they allow it, then do it. You'll see a lot of affiliates using recreated/rehashed sales pages and linking to their affiliate offer. Works well.

Optin to the vendor's autoresponder and see if they are using
their own "affiliate" link so you know whether you will get
credit as an affiliate or not. This has been discussed so many
time by affiliates that I'll be surprised if vendors are still ripping
off their affiliates in this way anymore.

If you want to collect names and emails of prospects before they see the sales page of the vendor you want to promote, you should send traffic to your opt in page FIRST before they see the sales page.

The first thing that you want to do is to send people to your website first.
