How to - First Email list?

Hello guys..

My name is Aviv,
I want to start and build my first email list in the MMO niche (my first list ever).
The problem is with the content writing.. My basic strategy is:
For every 3 free content emails ill promote 1 offer.

Questions:
1) Should I write them my self or outsource and pay a lot of $$$?
2) The amount of content that can be written on a certain topic is not endless, so what should I do when I/Freelancer ran out of things to write about (lets say after 30\60 emails)?
3) what is the amount of emails that should be ready to send when I start?

Its all kinda big mess in my head right now as you can see.. haha
So feel free to help a brother out

Thanks,
Aviv

    Hello Aviv,
    1. If at all possible I would do it yourself ! Another writer cannot put your 'voice' on an email that you want to convey to your Subs !

    2. I will put a target I like to go for. And that is 100 Follow Ups. As far as trouble coming up with new info?
Make it a goal to write 25-30 emails. Then go back and start recycling the best ones. Subs can barely remember last week's email you sent them, let alone ones that have been recycled from a month ago
    Trust me it works !

    3. 5 emails. And keep adding each week

    Hi Aviv!

    1. I would suggest that you write it yourself. Make your email personalized by addressing name in first name. You can do this by putting the name code to your subject line.

    2. Make sure to write something related to your niche (tips, great advice or demos). For your initial email sequence, do not pitch your product or business opportunity because you need to first gain your followers trust. You need to build good relationship with them and see your open rates (how many open your email) and you must avoid the unsubscribe.

    3. Some people says "Sending email in volume" is your key to make money online. This scenario works to some, but to the majority is not. If you've got 5,000 subscribers and every time you send your email campaign to them you get 50 purchases, this is a whopping 5% conversion! With this scenario sending to your email lists once or twice a month is not bad at all to pocket money from your mailing lists right?

I guess it is better to send one email every two or three days doing your start up.

    Hope this help!

You mentioned 5% conversion from an email. Sounds Mike a lot to me. What would you consider an average number (I know sich a thing doesn't exist but I'm looking for some orientation)?

  • Start by creating the content yourself, you don't want huge investment without much return at the beginning.

    Hope this helps

Grow your list, and don't be thinking of promoting affiliate offers.
How much subscribers do you have?
    I have 6 amazing subscribers ))))
I'm not thinking of selling anything. I'm interested in building my email list, in providing interesting and valuable information.
I think, it's not correct strategy to think about selling, if you don't have at least several hundreds of LOYAL subscribers.

This is poor information. It really does not matter how many subs you have. If they are several emails into your autoresponder series then why not send a promo email

Thank you all! what a great feedback and answers!
I think now im ready for it.. just need to act! act! act!

I`v been in affiliate marketing over a year now and with very low success (300$ total sales haha).
But i think that the blame is on me, because i never got into it seriously enough and never even captured my leads and traffic i got. (direct linking)

Now i decided to take it to the next lvl and look at it as a real "Business" rather than just "somtething on the side"

    So basic strategy is:
    1) Start building my list
    2) Creating a blog + a FB page around it
    3) Creating my own product

    What do you guys think?
How long should it take me & what is the amount of income i can expect?
