This sounds like a really simple answer but, what about goggling evergreen niches and picking ones that you could be passionate about? I did that and found a great list. Hope this helps!

What have you come up with?

What I mean is how much time have you spent searching the forum for the thousands of posts about this topic and thinking through your own life and your talents/skills?

What are your top 3 on your list?

    Mark

That is such a good idea. That is one of the beauties of this forum.....all the input of those that have gone before us.So finding those posts and making a list, remembering that we all had to do it...is the answer. How nice that you followed up!

          Hi Chmouri Future Marketer,

When it comes to niche selection, there are 2 things to be followed.

          1. What is that you are passionate about?
          2. Does the selected niche have a good market?

For example, weight loss is your niche. This has definitely a good market, but if you don't like this, do not start your niche in this. May be you like mountain climbers, may be it's your passion, but there is no market here

SO, passion + market = niche.

          Hope this helps!

          Thanks,
          Ramyashree

To know if it's a good market, do a keyword research. There are lots of keyword research tools online. You can start with Google Adwords Keyword planner.

              You can also Google ubbersuggest.

If you are going to use ubbersuggest, you'll still need to use Google Adwords keyword planner to know the volume of searches the keywords get on average per month.

The volume of searches for the keyword and related keywords (long tail and short tail) will determine if it's a viable niche you can go into.

Even if the niche doesn't have thousands upon thousand of searches monthly, it doesn't mean you can't make money from it, just means you won't make much. So most times a couple hundreds or thousands isn't a bad way to start. AND the good thing is the competition will be lower...and you can set it up on autopilot and forget about it; only check on it from time to time.

Once you confirm that the niche is viable, then focus on providing value.

There's nothing stopping you from branching out to other niches since you intend on mainly building lists.

Also, don't forget to create a really good relationship with that list, that way they'll be very responsive to your emails.

Coming up with this question on such a big forum won't help much, there are already a ton of similar threads but that's not even the point, the most important aspect is what do YOU think is a good niche? There are probably thousands of answers to your question, but only you know what drives you.

There's a nice video from ClickBank on how to select your niche here:

It's helped me out quite a bit at searching for my niche. It should be a niche that you're interested in, people must spend money in it, and that there are products associated with it. The scope should not be too broad either.
