Unsubscribing Issue

I send my store mails only to my subscribers & Buyers as its all my own list.
I do not do much email mkting. I send mail once or twice a month. I observe that every time i send mail, around 1% people unsubscribe. I am afraid, my mailing list / Subscribers decreasing with every mail.

Is it normal?

How much % unsubscribing is normal? How to reduce it.

If i started mail marketing on daily basis, my subscriber list will reduce to 0 if 1% unsubscribe daily....Lol

    A percentage of your list unsubscribe every time you email is very normal.
    How much % is normal? No body have the answer to it, since there are many factors, to name a few, Your content, your style, or they just in a bad mood.

    You should focus on getting new subscribers and email them more often.

    Twice a month is way too long for people to remember that they subscribed to your list.

    Who knows how many emails they received in a day, they might just think that you are one of the spam email, and hit the unsubscribe button.

    I notice that you run a curtain store.

    Write your buyer more often to interact with them.

    Since they are already your customer, build more rapport.

    You want them to be your WORD OF MOUTH agents.

    Ask them to send their friends and family that need new curtain to you.

    In return send them a voucher or gift or discount for next purchase, even a thank you note is much appreciated.

    Do not worry about unsubscribe, focus on getting new subscriber and interact with the existing one.

    Like Heruma said, there are many variables to consider when it comes to why people unsubscribe.

    Personally, if I'm not getting unsubscribes, I'm not having much affect on anyone, really.

    You certainly need to be mailing much more frequently. But you have to do it right. Just sending boring, tame, milk and toast emails like the majority of people do, will get you the same results as the majority of people get. Who knew?

    Even I, unsubscribe to people that I only hear from once or twice a month. Then there are others that I look forward to hearing from because they always give my a good tip or piece of knowledge that I did not have before.I am anxious to hear from them!
