I really love my site, and don't want to spam people with email list requests.

At the same time I want to rise profit...

Is it worth it to build an email list for my site? Also its not word press www.snackmemory.com

is there a service that that I can subscribe to.. that lets me put a simple link to a email list subscribe form? I might put the link in an over head announcement bar at the top of the screen that can be Xed out.

You don't have to build a list to make more money.

All you have to do is to provide an affiliate program that can pay you really well. You want to find a product that can pay you residual income and hopefully it can also make you more money from upsells.

Instead of just earning $20-$30 per month from one customer, you can also earn anywhere between $100-$1,000 per customer. You just need to find a product that sells more for you on the backend.

Great idea, Do you have any suggestions yourself of good products for residual income?

    Hey!!

I Check you site and is have good information, my personal opinion is the menu a litle scary to much option and is overwhelmed when you enter for the first time, try to put the menu bar more fancy and beautiful so you visitor can see more elegant you website. (Is just a opinion)

And about list building, you can create a welcome or notification bar in the top that say: Receive Daily Snack in your Inbox (HelloBar.com or AddThis.com Can Help you) this is a simple way to ask email and not put you visitor angry, never think that you going to spam people asking permision for their email, because this is your business and you need to grow. (Email Marketing is not spam is you ask permision )

I Also note that you have the same menu (Twice) in the top and in the bottom said: A List Of All Our Snacks! (IF you remove the top menu and leave the bottom, is look more fancy and simple) and is great because then you can put the notification bar and look everithing elegant)

I hope that this can help you,

    God Bless You!!

Absolutely you should be building a list! Whether you use it for this business or another site, start growing your following. Don't just send sales offers either, create relationships with your subscribers. You want to stand out in their inbox. You want them excited to receive an email from you, like you're an old friend. I prefer GetResponse for my email AR provider and they integrate easily with HTML or wordpress as well as social media platforms.

I agree that you also can make money from affiliate offers. Some of the sites I recommend looking into are:
Affiliate Marketing Programs | Rakuten Affiliate Network (LinkShare)
CJ Affiliate by Conversant (formerly Commission Junction)
    http://affiliate-program.amazon.com
ClickBank | A Global Internet Retailer
    ShareASale

Hope this was helpful. -KJH (friend me)

Try with affiliate marketing. If you got about 5000 visitors per month, you can make at least 10 sales per month.

If your average commission is $40, you will make $400 per month. before start affiliate marketing, you have lots of things to learn first.

Why throw away the traffic? With your kind of numbers you could build a very good list while expending almost no extra effort. I harp at my offline clients all the time for not taking the list building end of the business seriously.

A targeted list is an asset. You can obtain this asset for next to nothing. There's no question as to what you should do...

List building is crucial in my opinion.

If a customer doesn't buy when they visit your site you will have the option to sell to them through your autoresponder if you start collecting their emails.

This can really help increase your profits!

I think it would be worth it to build a list in your case. It's a good way to retain people who might otherwise not come back to your site. Considering all the visitors you get you should be able to get a decent number of people to register without overdoing it. A small simple registration form should work. I prefer the registration from over the link because the person has to perform fewer actions to sign up for your email list.

Good advice thanks, I am thinking of looking into adding some kind of sign up form to a sidebar

If you're short on a budget, Mailchimp is a pretty good alternative at first because they've got a free plan to help build your listing building efforts!

Yep definitely think with the amount of visitors you are getting you should be capturing email addresses. As others have stated Mailchimp is solid if you are looking for a free service. Getresponse and Aweber very good paid options and pretty affordable. Only 15 dollars a month for Getresponse under 1000 subscribers.

Since you will be able to market to your subscribers over and over again you will increase your income. It takes someone at least seven times to see your product on average before they are comfortable to buy. With an email list you have that opportunity to make that happen.
