The trick to writing a follow up mail

After my post yesterday about headlines to get people reading your mails (Top 5 Tips....), I though I'd build on that with a simple tip that I learnt early on about writing the content of the mail.

I often get asked how I go about writing a mail to my list.

My answer is, I don't.

What I mean by this is that I never set out thinking about ALL subscribers on my list. If I do, writing a mail to please them all becomes almost impossible.

Therefore my little tip to you if you are struggling to come up with your own emails is write with one person in mind. Think of a friend and write the mail as if you were going to send the mail just to them.

If you do this you will find that writing your mails becomes far easier and your mails become far less 'salesy' and far more believable.

    Thank you Andy! This should simplify my email writing strategy. I usually spend hours thinking about the different personalities and trying to cater as such. Time wasted but no more!

    Thinking of the offer & who that offer would be perfect for definitely helps.

    If the offer is for newbies then I'll try to find or create an offer that teaches the basics about making money online which I feel could educate them, and give them a basic insight.

    Then later they'll understand more about listbuilding, or softwares when I talk about those in future offers, and be they'll be more willing to purchase future courses about those when I bring up those subjects.

    Also just trial, and error for different traffic sources also works great.

    Just gotta test your headlines, swipes, offers, see which ones give you the best engagement, and bring in sales.

    Heck, even if one of your those doesn't work then you still have people on your list to test out other ones.
