I am pretty new in email marketing industry... I subscribed in a few email list to see how things works.. I don't understand of these ugly banner "bonuses" on thank you or download pages... As I know these clicks are from sale funnels, but I don't understand why people doing this.. Are they selling them?

If I understand they building lists with solos at a price of $0.50 / click and at the same time selling sales funnel clicks at a price of $0.30 / click ... So, they can sell one unique visitor twice?

Is that correct?

Thanks

More than likely ... they're an affiliate for whatever that banner is advertising. So ... if they make a sale, they'll earn a lot more than $0.30 per click.

These 'bonuses' are often used for clickbanking. This helps other marketers grow their 'buyers' list as these people have already purchased the front end product. The other marketer does the same thing on their thank you page and sends the same number of buyers back. This increases their list size at no extra cost.

On top of what Paul just said, if the case is that they're selling funnel clicks, it's that it's easier to gain return on the initial solo ads investment for themselves and you may find that they're just as active because they're so called "click savvy" meaning they could respond better.

How they drive traffic to funnel? Only with solos ?..

    Something like that:

Solo Ads - > Thank you & Download page

    Correct?

    Thank you

Click banking, solo ads from solo ad sellers, solo ads from Ezine or blog owners, PPC, social media, funnel clicks, JV Giveaways, ad swaps...

      Correct?
Not quite... you want to always be sending traffic to your own squeeze page first. You could then incorporate a TY page that offers bonuses or recommendations, but the product or service they signed up to, should always be in the email. Then from there that link in the email will go to a download page. If they're not opening, and you're just giving them access instantly after opting in, then you'll notice your Open Rates and CTR's will be more difficult to optimize. Always best to get them into a habit of opening your emails as soon as they opt-in.

They work great to some marketers, but I am not a fan of them. In my opinion, it' s a strategy for marketers whose goal is to make a penny from every activity their subscribers do. The downside of it is, they distract the subscribers from the main reason why they opted in. If you're to really make good money online, your thank you page must focus on its purpose of saying "thank you and please check your email to confirm your subscription."

I never waste my time with a direct thank you page, I link right to an offer. Works better personally.

I've made thousands of extra dollars by having related banners on these confirm / thank-you pages.

If you're giving away a free report on SEO then having a banner for an SEO product is your "would you like fries with that?" upsell.

If the banner is just a random bonus it's likely to be adswaps, funnel clicks, and probably tells you that the person who's list you've joined is still just following what they've read rather than actually thinking for themselves.

Overall it's very valuable real estate and done properly it could earn you a lot of extra cash.

It's better to have an upsell that is directly related to the offer on the thank you page or else it's almost a lost cause. Unless your selling the TP clicks.
