    you have a lot of choises, just pick one and start collecting emails
    lets say you have a blog, where you post tasy food recipes
    add optin form somewhere, so user could enter email and subscribe for new information
    when people optin you may discuss what information they would like to see, what they need, build relationship
    find affiliate program that is relevant to youn niche: lets say you can offer recipe book from amazon

    "How to do email marketing" is a HUGE question.

    MailChimp is a solid platform.

    But, to get started ... I'd recommend starting with a landing page, a lead magnet, and a 3-7 email series that promotes a product that's similar to your lead magnet and something your audience wants.

      Mailchimp is great so I would stay with it. Here's a few list building tips:

      - Build a relationship with your list by sending out mails that help your subscribers & give value.
      - Set your autoresponder sequence to send out mails with what you are personally comfortable with.
      - Find affiliate products to promote that convert well into sales.
      - Learn how to write email subject titles & email copy for good open rates & sales.
      - Keep a track of your statistics so you can change what's not working & do more of what does work.
