Why no solo ads for weight loss?

Hey guys! I wrote a guide to sustainable fat loss that I'd like to promote, and a friend recommended finding a reputable solo ad provider to help with traffic. It all sounded relatively simple, except I've not been able to find one yet!

Everyone I've come across is strictly in the IM niche. Am I missing something? I thought weight loss was a huge and competitive market.

Alternatively I've been contacting bloggers, magazine publishers and product founders, but nothing specifically in the solo ad department. I'm also looking at buysellads.com. I've had one company agree so far but they want $7k for 400k subscribers! Sadly my minuscule budget does not a match make.

If anyone has any insights on this it'd be much appreciated..

    Check clickonomy(hope I spelt that right) for solo ads, they have different people in almost all the niches.

    Hi,


    Bob is right. Clickonomy is a great place to find solo ad vendors in various niches.
    However the click prices will be a little higher but less than what the normal website owners will offer.

    I use arcamax for advertising my list in the weight loss space. However it´s quite expensive and NOT beginner friendly, you really need to know your numbers with them.

    I have had trouble finding solo ad vendors for any niche other than internet marketing. I think you will have to find some blogs you like. Then send an email direct to the blog owner if they are interested in doing a solo ad deal with you!

    Udimi has a lot of sellers that sell solos for Weight Loss Niche.
    Check this website and you won`t regret. Quality solos, reputable sellers, safety, filter that gets rid off useless traffic and inbuilt tracking system to track all solos.

    Because getting lackluster leads and building huge "garbage" Lists in IM is relatively easy. Thus you have a large "pond" to choose from. ( basically it is a insane viscous cycle where people buy other IM Solo Ads to build their own IM Solo Ad business lol)

    Many of the people in weight loss niche who have worked hard to get their Leads do not want to whore their Lists out

    InfoUSA.com I've seen mentioned before

    BuySellAds.com also has newsletter advertising inventory in addition to banner ads so don't forget checking out their marketplace there. However I don't think they have solo ads for sale but do have adspace available in newsletters

    There's plenty of solo ads for other niches such as weight loss. It's just a little bit harder to find them

    If you want to save money, look for weight loss blogs that have decen Alexa.com site info scores.

    Filter them based on whether they have newsletters or not.

    Reach out to them.

    You might get better deals than weight loss sites that actively advertise their newsletter ad space/solo ad opportunities.

    If you don't have time to do this, hire a VA.
